Family Hub is a family organizer app that provides a shared calendar, AI-powered meal planning, real-time location sharing, grocery lists, family tasks, and family chat in a single application. The app is available on iOS, Android, and as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on any device with a web browser.
Family Hub uses a shared family link model: one family member creates the family group and shares a single URL with all other members. Family members join by tapping the link — no individual account creation is required. All family data is shared in real time across all connected devices.

Shared Family Calendar
A shared month-view and week-view calendar accessible to all family members simultaneously. Supports color-coding by family member, recurring events (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly), all-day events, multi-day events, start and end times, location fields, and notes.
Dobby AI Assistant
Dobby is Family Hub's built-in AI assistant for meal planning and family scheduling. Dobby generates weekly meal plans based on dietary preferences, family size, and available ingredients, then automatically builds a categorized grocery list from the meal plan.
Meal Planner
A weekly meal planning tool integrated with the recipe library and grocery list. Families can plan meals for each day of the week, assign meals to specific family members, and generate a grocery list automatically.
Grocery List
A shared grocery list that auto-categorizes items into sections (Produce, Dairy, Meat, Bakery, Pantry, Frozen, Beverages, Household, Personal Care, Other). Items can be added manually or generated automatically from the meal plan.
Family Tasks
A shared task management system for household chores, errands, and family projects. Tasks can be assigned to specific family members, given priority levels (Low, Medium, High), and set with due dates. Overdue tasks are flagged automatically.
Location Sharing
Real-time location sharing for all family members who have enabled the feature. Displays each member's current location on a map with their color-coded marker. Supports place alerts — notifications when a family member arrives at or leaves a specific address.
Family Chat
A shared family messaging channel within the app. Supports text messages and integrates with the calendar and task system so family members can discuss events and tasks in context.
Documents Vault
A secure storage area for important family documents including insurance cards, passports, medical records, and school documents. Documents are accessible to all family members with the family link.

Dobby: The Family AI
Dobby is Family Hub's built-in AI assistant. Dobby helps families plan meals for the week based on dietary preferences, the number of people being fed, and ingredients already available at home. Once a meal plan is confirmed, Dobby automatically generates a categorized grocery list organized by store section.
Dobby is accessible from the Meals section of the Family Hub app. Families interact with Dobby through a conversational interface — describing preferences, asking for suggestions, and refining the meal plan through natural language.
Dobby is available on all Family Hub plans. Advanced Dobby features are available on paid tiers.
